Fall flavors don’t have to wait for coffee shop visits. With just a few ingredients and a couple of minutes, you can make a rich, cozy pumpkin spice cappuccino right in your own kitchen. This drink delivers the comforting taste of warm spices and creamy espresso foam—perfect for chilly mornings or relaxing afternoons.

This recipe makes 1 delicious serving and uses a smooth blend of pumpkin spice syrup, milk, and espresso to create a café-style pumpkin cappuccino at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot of espresso (or ¼ cup strong brewed coffee)
  • ½ cup milk (any variety: dairy, oat, almond, or soy)
  • 1½ tablespoons pumpkin spice syrup
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Start by brewing your espresso. If using brewed coffee instead, make it strong to balance the milk and syrup.

While the espresso is brewing, heat the milk in a small saucepan over low heat or microwave it for 30–45 seconds until hot but not boiling. Use a milk frother, French press plunger, or handheld whisk to froth the milk until it's airy and doubled in volume.

In your serving cup, pour the hot espresso and stir in the pumpkin spice syrup until well blended. Gently pour the frothed milk over the top, holding back the foam with a spoon, then spoon the foam over the top to finish.

Dust with cinnamon or nutmeg if desired, and enjoy your homemade pumpkin cappuccino while it’s warm and aromatic.

Customization Tips

You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less pumpkin spice syrup depending on your preference. For a dairy-free version, oat milk froths particularly well and complements the spice notes beautifully. If you prefer a stronger coffee flavor, use two espresso shots and reduce the milk slightly.

A Seasonal Favorite, Anytime

The best part about making a pumpkin spice cappuccino at home is the ability to enjoy it whenever the mood strikes—no long lines or seasonal menus needed. This quick, delicious pumpkin cappuccino offers that perfect blend of cozy, creamy, and spiced in every sip.
